| About this Website and Lima Trans Tour Work on this website began in early 2009 with descriptive text and a few pictures to introduce our tours. Later, we added information that we felt would be valuable to travelers coming to Peru. We also included information about hotels and restaurants inside Lima for our clients. Later we included information about restaurants outside Lima where our customers might be travelling. After we created the FREE tour of Lima central, we began to add photos of our customers. We thought our visitors would like to view some informative videos that we made in Lima, so we uploaded 4 of them for a more interesting experience on the our website. In April 2010 we began to place brochures in Lima hotels that described our trips. Shortly thereafter we created and introduced our FREE tour of central Lima and started to place brochures for this trip. The website was then further updated to deliver a more interesting experience to our customers. How can we give a free tour? It is because most of our clients take our other trips and tip generously! This website was developed in Yahoo Sitebuilder and uploaded to the Yahoo Small Business Server. Many of the photos were taken with an Apple iPhone 3G or other electronic cameras. The videos were also taken with an iPhone using the Qik Video application. They were uploaded to the using a Wi-Fi internet connection. The collages of our photos were made with Picassa 3 from Google. Yahoo Sitebuilder allows the use to develop websites without learning HTML directly, although you can insert and use HTML in Sitebuilder. Although Sitebuilder is less advanced with few options than some other website builders, it is very fast and allows you to do artistic design quickly. |
